Engine Control Performance Chips

Houston Performance uses Autologic chips and Chipmaster software that allows us to control and modify most of the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) program to find additional performance and  power and increase driveability. A custom chip is a great addition to a street car that has the usual bolt-ons and a must have for NOS and supercharged applications.
   
Performance Chip  
The following parameters can be modified using a custom burned Autologic chip:
  • Idle RPM to fix idle surging
  • RPM limiter
  • Fix cold startup problems
  • Change the timing curve for natually aspirated, NOS or supercharged applications
  • Change MAF meter curves
  • Change Injector Size to work with any MAF meter
  • Change engine size to fix idle & part throttle problems in stroker motors
  • Change WOT fuel curve for increased performance
  • Change part throttle fuel tables for better driveability
  • Change shift firmness on automatics, no shift kits needed
  • Change shift point on automatics
  • Fix fault code when off road exhaust is used
