Dyno Tuning

There are two basic ways to tune an engine: by the seat of your pants and dyno. If you want to be absolutely sure that your engine is performing correctly and safely, you'll want to dyno tune it. We use the latest technology coupled with years of racing know how to get the most from your engine-- safely.

Here's How to Get Your Car Dyno Tuned

Step 1

Call us today! We will set up an appointment for your dyno tuning session. We may get some preliminary information from you about your engine configuration at this time.

Step 2

Bring your car to our service location at your scheduled time. We will review with you what your goals are and then we will set the car up on the DynoJet 248. If you don't already have an electronic engine control chip, we will install a chip in your car's engine control computer. Chips can be purchased separately or are installed as part of the complete dyno tuning package.

Step 3

We will use state of the art engine test equipment and automotive tuning software to thoroughly test and tune your car for optimum and safe performance. Several dyno runs may be required to get the best tune for your engine so come prepared to stay for a while. After each run on the dyno, the run data is collected and analyzed. Based on the data and our collective years of experience tuning Ford engines for the street and the strip, we will alter the software parameters in the chip which control engine function. We can improve on the air/fuel delivery ratios, the timing curve, idle speed, shift points and engine component inventory such as cubic inch displacement, injector size and MAF parameters.

Step 4

When we are finished dyno tuning your engine, we will provide you with a print out from the best dyno run. At the end of the dyno session, you will leave with a chip that has been tuned to your specific engine and components, a print out from the best dyno run and a well tuned engine.
